“Crime 101” (2026)
“Crime 101” is a slick neo noir featuring strong leading performances by Halle Berry, Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth.

Berry, Ruffalo and Hemsworth have all made names for themselves playing Marvel superheroes, so it was refreshing to see them all out of costume playing in one of my favorite genres, noir.
Hemsworth takes the lead as Davis, a thief who has been running slick heists up and down the 101 highway in the Los Angeles metro, while Ruffalo is Lou, the cop who is on his trail. Berry gives a stellar performance as Sharon, a high-end insurance agent caught in the crosshairs of Davis’s crime spree.
Monica Barbaro and Barry Keoghan round out the main cast as Davis’s love interest and an up-and-coming thief circling in on Davis’s territory, respectively.
“Crime 101” has the spirit of modern heist films like “Ocean’s Eleven” while remaining grounded in its neo noir roots.
