“EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert” (2025)
Like most Baz Luhrmann films, the visuals in “EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert” are vibrant and dazzling, deserving of a trip to see it on the big screen.

However, I can only truly recommend you make that trip if you are a fan of Elvis. I enjoy some of Elvis’s songs, but I cannot call myself a big fan.
I was intrigued by Luhrmann’s involvement, as I count his “Moulin Rouge” and “Romeo + Juliet” among my all-time favorites. While his fingerprints are certainly felt all over this hybrid of a documentary and concert film, it definitely does not reach the same heights as some of his classic narrative features.
Because it is a relevant topic of conversation as Luhrmann found this footage while filming it: I was not a big fan of his “Elvis” biopic a couple years ago, so I did marginally like this better than that.
It was fun to see the actual superstar magnified on the big screen in such vibrancy, showcasing why he is one of the most charismatic performers of all time.
