“How to Make a Killing” (2026)

Not even the charisma of Glen Powell and Margaret Qualley can turn “How to Make a Killing” into a movie I’d recommend.

Powell stars as Becket Redfellow, the son of an ex-communicated heiress who finds himself caught up in killing the relatives that cut off his late mother so he can cash in on their family fortune.

Qualley plays Julia Steinway, a side character from Becket’s childhood who is onto what he’s doing and has her own motives for wanting him to proceed.

While there are some truly funny moments in this dark comedy and some satisfying “eat the rich” type plot lines, the storyline ultimately fumbles and the movie cannot get by entirely on some strung-together laughs.
